Bob Nelson

Bob Nelson specializes in issues strategy, advertising, and public affairs consulting. Nelson has directed national and regional projects supporting public schools, water systems, electrical utilities, hospitals, highways, gaming, horse breeders, oil producers, beer and wine producers, organized labor and property owners. He has led victorious campaigns for major ballot propositions in California since 1980 and dozens of state and local projects in 13 states. From 1977 to 1996, Bob was chairman of Nelson Communications Group, one of America’s largest public relations agencies, now a division of Porter-Novelli. Today Bob serves on a wide selection of Boards and is involved in many civic issues.

Kelly Murphy-Lamkin

Kelly Murphy is the Managing Director for BNA Communications. She helps create and manage radio, newspaper, direct mail and collateral printing needs for clients both statewide and in regional markets in California, Arizona, and New Mexico.

Prior to joining the firm, Kelly coordinated the successful re-election campaign for former San Diego Mayor Dick Murphy. In her role as Campaign Coordinator, Kelly managed the campaign headquarters and its volunteers while organizing community outreach efforts throughout the city of San Diego, working closely with other elected officials and community leaders. Amid an unprecedented election, Kelly successfully helped communicate her candidate's message to the citizens of San Diego. Kelly also managed a complex volunteer support team for a lengthy recount process and helped attorneys gather supporting information for a variety of court challenges.

She is a native San Diegan and holds a bachelor's degree in Sociology and a minor in Developmental Psychology from UCLA.
Becky Karp

Becky Karp is the Creative Director for BNA Communications. She currently helps the BNA team with creative work, project coordination, and research.

Prior to joining BNA Communications, Becky worked for a local nonprofit in education, where she helped with the logistics of local and national conferences for thousands of teachers and administrators. She brings a passion for positive social change. Becky graduated from The Art Institute of California - San Diego, with a degree in Graphic Design. She also holds a degree from UCSD in Philosophy.
Jason Everitt

Jason Everitt is a Senior Account Executive for BNA Communications. He specializes in community outreach strategy, project planning, public relations and new media.

Prior to joining BNA, Jason worked for a number of San Diego's leading non-profits in research, organizing, and advocacy. Jason holds Master’s degrees in Public Administration and International Relations from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
